You're not alone

We see what you or your loved one is going through.

Whether you're the one struggling or you're watching someone you love lose themselves, finding the right care can feel overwhelming.

At Mind & Metabolism, we make it simple. Our psychiatric nurse practitioner takes the time to truly understand your situation and builds a care plan around you, not a template.

Take the First Step

We look for what's actually causing it

We don't just manage symptoms. We ask why they're there and look at everything from biology to lifestyle to find real answers.

Metabolic health connected to your mind

Physical imbalances affect how you think and feel. We address both together for better, lasting outcomes.

Telehealth and in-person care

Secure telehealth visits from anywhere in Washington State, plus in-person appointments for those who prefer to be seen face to face.

Support for families too

If someone you love needs help, we'll walk alongside you and help you understand the path forward.

Getting started

Three steps to feeling better

We've made it as easy as possible to go from "I need help" to having a care plan in your hands.

01

Request care

Fill out a short intake form online. Tell us what you're going through. Share as much or as little as you're comfortable with. No commitment required.

02

Meet your provider

Connect with Elizabeth Calfos, DNP, PMHNP through a secure telehealth visit or in-person appointment. She'll listen, ask questions, and begin understanding the full picture.

03

Start your care plan

You'll leave your first appointment with a clear, personalized plan. Ongoing support, medication management if needed, and regular check-ins.

What we treat

Conditions we specialize in

Our practice is built around the conditions that most affect your ability to live fully. We serve teens and adults (ages 16 and up). If you don't see your concern listed, reach out. We may still be able to help.

Anxiety & Panic Disorder

Constant worry, racing heart, sudden panic attacks. We help you understand what's driving it and build real tools to regain calm and control.

Bipolar & Mood Disorder

Mood swings that leave you and the people around you exhausted. We help you find a treatment that holds, so the highs and lows stop running your life.

Depression

When everything feels heavy and joy is hard to find. We listen, ask the right questions, and work with you on a plan that actually helps, not just adjustments that get you by.

ADHD

Difficulty focusing, staying organized, or finishing tasks. ADHD shows up differently for everyone. We treat teenagers and adults with personalized strategies.

PTSD

Trauma doesn't have to define your future. We work with you at your pace to help you get out from under what happened and feel safe in your own life again.

Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is more common and more treatable than most people realize. We provide respectful, consistent care that helps you manage symptoms, stay stable, and build a life that works for you.

Dementia & Cognitive Decline

We provide psychiatric support for patients and families navigating dementia, memory loss, and cognitive changes, helping manage behavioral symptoms and improve quality of life.

Insomnia & Sleep Disorders

Poor sleep affects your mood, your focus, and your physical health. We identify what's driving it and create a plan that gets you sleeping well again.

OCD

Obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors can take over your life. We use evidence-based treatment to help you break the cycle and take back control.

Our team

Meet our providers

At Mind & Metabolism, you won't feel like you're being processed. You'll be listened to, your full picture will be considered, and your care plan will be built around you.

★★★★★
I put off getting help for almost two years. I kept thinking it would get better on its own. It didn't. Coming here was the best decision I made. Elizabeth actually listened. Not just to my symptoms, but to what was going on in my life. I left my first appointment with a plan and for the first time in a long time, I felt like things could get better.

I've seen other providers before and always felt like I was just being handed a prescription and sent on my way. This was different. She asked questions I'd never been asked before and took the time to explain why she was recommending what she was recommending. Three months in and I feel like myself again. I can't say enough.

I was skeptical about telehealth at first. I didn't think it could feel as real as an in-person visit. I was wrong. The connection was clear, the appointment ran on time, and I never felt rushed. It's become part of my routine now. Genuinely one of the easiest healthcare experiences I've had.

I'm a 34-year-old who just found out I have ADHD. I always thought something was wrong with me. Turns out my brain just works differently. The evaluation was thorough, the diagnosis made sense, and the follow-up has been consistent. I finally understand why I struggled the way I did, and I have tools to actually do something about it.

After what I went through, I didn't trust easily. I needed to know I wasn't going to be judged or dismissed. From the very first call to my appointments, everyone I dealt with treated me with real respect. I felt safe. That's not something I say lightly.
